Following on from her critically praised debut album, Purge, Louise Lemón returns with a new album, A Broken Heart is an Open Heart. Experimenting with instrumentation and production since her last full-length, Lemón’s new album sees her taking cues from the 60s and 70s psych-rock and soul era.
She’s been compared with Nick Cave and Florence and the Machine. In the May issue of Metal Hammer UK she was also on the cover with a six page spread about the rise of Death Gospel with her as the queen and founder of this genre. In the fall of 2018 she was on tour with Sólstafir with 20 live shows in 12 countries, followed by several performances such as Eurosonic and Roadburn Festival this year.
From the new album we can highlight songs such as 'Not Enough' or 'Montaña'. Also her songs 'Egyptian Darkness' and 'Appalacherna' are featured in the Netflix Series ‘Tidelands’. Her live performances are dark, heavy and the vocals seep through the bones. She has been hailed as the new Death Gospel queen and now it’s our turn no discover her live in Spain.
