After the great success obtained with his last show in Barcelona, Kamasi Washington announces two new dates in our country. The American jazz musician and his amazing band will play on the 13th of May at La Riviera in Madrid and on the 14th at Razzmatazz in Barcelona.

Tickets for Madrid are on sale through houstonpartymusic.com, ticketea.com and entradas.com. Ticket price for both shows is 30 Euros (VAT incl) booking fees not included.
Talking about Kamasi Washington is to refer to one of the most renowned names of new jazz, a renovator that pushes stylistic boundaries. Kamasi first gained recognition for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s acclaimed 2015 album To Pimp A Butterfly, and, on May 2015, he released his groundbreaking solo album The Epic, that instantly set him on a path as our generation’s torchbearer for progressive, improvisational music. After his last release, Harmony Of Difference, Pitchfork writed about him “a tireless ambition with his compositions, performance, and spiritual approach”, Paste Magazine “the ideal outgrowth of The Epic” and Pretty Much Amazing “another win in Kamasi Washington’s book”.
For all these reasons, in May we will assist to two overwhelming concerts, as it happened in his previous tour. El Pais said “A runaway locomotive. Kamasi Washington shows that belligerent and provocative jazz has not died” and it was a concert “on a cosmic scale” for El Periodico.
