Karpe and Quickstyle presents: Omar Sheriff
Norwegian rap duo Karpe, accompanied by the dance group Quickstyle, will present in May 2023 their new project, ‘Omar Sheriff’. We can see them in Barcelona on May 1st at Razzmatazz and in Madrid on May 2nd at La Paqui.
Under the name of Karpe and Quickstyle presents: Omar Sheriff, they present us their 'Diaspora Tour Europe 2023'. A tour in which we will experience live the musical and audio-visual universe of the ‘Omar Sheriff’ project, where Norwegian is mixed with Arabic, Gujarati, and English, proving that multiculturalism is very present in everything they do.
Karpe is made up of the audio-visual artists Chirag Rashmikant Patel and Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid, who not only have produced hit after hit, but have also received numerous awards and made history with their spectacular live shows. In the words of Rolling Stone Australia: “This is the most beautiful show in the world”. In 2022, they released their latest musical project, ‘Omar Sheriff’, an album full of tributes and nods to their background, which is present in the themes that make up this masterpiece, in the references, lyrics, and throughout all the visual content that surrounds it. His best-known song is 'Paf.no', a version of 'Sidi Mansour', a Tunisian folk song. The duo made history when they teamed up with Quickstyle, a global dance crew that went viral with their famous wedding show earlier this year. In just one month, Karpe and Quickstyle performed 10 times at Oslo Spektrum Arena, selling more than 110,000 tickets, an all-time record!
The band and crew are both children of a generation of immigrants and refugees from all over the world, who came to Norway to create a home and look for a better future. Now, this new generation has created ‘Omar Sheriff’, a project that unites, includes, and of course, entertains.
