The Scottish band Texas will perform on June 7 at Músicos en la Naturaleza in Ávila, June 30 at Noches del Botánico in Madrid, on July 1 at the Festival de la Guitarra de Córdoba and on August 11 at the Starlite Occident in Marbella.

It was Wim Wenders' film 'Paris Texas' (1984), with a soundtrack by Ry Cooder, that encouraged them to christen themselves as Texas in 1985. Proof that the Glasgow band wanted to emulate their idols. Some of the biggest names in American rock and roll, soul and folk rock. They achieved this very early on, with a debut (Southside, 1989) that even sold more than a million copies in Spain. Mother's Heaven (1991), Ricks Road (1993), White On Blonde (1997), and The Hush (1999) followed, with songs as successful as 'I Don't Want A Lover', 'Say What You Want', 'Summer Son' or 'Black Eyed Boy', which at some point led 35 million souls to buy one of their records all over the world.

The quintet led by Sharleen Spiteri has built a tireless and profitable career of more than 35 years, whose latest chapter is the recording of some of their own and others' classics at the legendary Muscle Shoals Studios in Alabama, together with the historic Spooner Oldham.
