SOLD OUT!

The Black Keys will finally come to our country and it will be undoubtedly one of the best concerts of the season. An awaited and unique show in Spain of one of the most important bands of our days that will take place on November 28 at the Palacio de Deportes in Madrid. The band has chosen 2012 for their introduction in our country, will be supported by The Maccabees and, what’s more, the show will be part of the Doctor Music 30th Anniversary events, which will be held throughout the year. Unsurpassable!

The evening will begin with The Maccabees’ direct, indie rock band based in Brighton and from South London. Orlando Weeks (vocals) and Robert Dylan (drums) attended school together. Though the friends would often write songs in Weeks' bedroom, it wasn't until 2003, when they were introduced to guitarist Hugo White, that the band began to take shape. Soon bassist Rupert Jarvis joined, as well as Hugo's brother and fellow guitarist Felix.

The group's first single, ‘X-Ray’, was released on Promise Records in November of 2005, and thanks to a strong XFM-Radio showing, The Maccabees were able to garner opening spots on an Arctic Monkeys tour. Fierce Panda picked up the second single ‘Latchmere’, issuing it in the spring of 2006. The band's full-length debut, ‘Colour It In’, came out on Fiction Records a year later. For their second album, 2009's ‘Wall of Arms’, the band worked with producer Markus Dravs, who also collaborated with the Arcade Fire. Main stage slots at the Reading and Leeds Festivals would follow, then the band took two years off to write and record. The results, the album ‘Given to the Wild’ and its lead single ‘Pelican’, arrived in early 2012.

The evening will continue with The Black Keys. ‘El Camino’ burst in 2011 by Patrick Carney (drums) and Dan Auerbach (vocals and guitar), as one of the best albums of the band. Its first single, ‘Lonely Boy’ is one of those hits that are retained for years and makes us still dance months after its release. ‘El Camino’ has been on the lists of the best of 2011 by the best international and Spanish publications. Journals such as The Guardian, The Independent, Time, Rolling Stone, Spin, Paste or MTV have listed the album among their favorites of the year.

After seven studio albums behind them, three Grammy Awards, a legion of fans and performing at the best festivals around the world, in 2012 comes their most ambitious tour yet. Auerbach couldn’t describe it better: 'For me, where this record is going to shine is at concerts. This album is more rock and roll live, raw and back to the roots.'
