Extended until June 16 by popular demand
If at late 2012 we announced the awaited arrival of ‘Born To Run – 30 years of Doctor Music – The Exhibition’ to Barcelona, 2013 starts with surprises. We move from Madrid to Barcelona and present a renewed exhibition, ‘Born To Múúú’, with new sections and a review of the best of the three editions of the Doctor Music Festival held in Escalarre (Vall d'Aneu, Pallars).
Palau Robert opened its doors on March 7th to share for more than two months an unrepeatable and unique exhibition. ‘Born To Múúú - Doctor Music 30 Años – The Exhibition’ collects these 30 years of life music in our country. The showing, divided in 9 sections, presents a group of images, posters, objects and memories from the history of the concert promoter Doctor Music, which was founded in early 80’s by Neo Sala. Now, the legacy of these past 30 years of Doctor Music’s existence is brought out from the archives and personal collections.
The exhibition, finally opened to the public until June 16th, offers an unrepeatable chance to showcase the history of the world of music through never before seen images, objects, designs and audiovisuals etc… everything to do with the biggest international artists and icons who have been in our country. To make it possible, ‘Born To Múúú - Doctor Music 30 Años – The Exhibition’ has the support of top professionals and friends who wanted to be part of this great experience. We can see photos by Francesc Fàbregas, Xavier Mercadé, Josep Maria Palou, Juanlu Vela, Jordi Uriach and Jesús A. Martínez, exclusive materials, including the years before Doctor Music’s birth, by illustrator Manuel Rubiales, historical posters that many would like to have hanging in their houses, tickets and passes of mythical concerts and much more. The exhibition is also feasible with the support of Generalitat de Catalunya, Palau Robert, Televisió de Catalunya S.A., Marc Martí and Pioneer.
In an emblematic setting, where main exhibitions take place in the city, Doctor Music remains betting to bringing live music to the public. Following the excellent reception of The Exhibition at the Ciruclo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, now is the moment to present a renewed and expanded collection in Barcelona. A real treat for music lovers!
