Rodrigo y Gabriela refuse to being typecast in a genre. Their early days with Tierra Ácida supposed the beginning of their musical experimentation to a variety of styles that has made them great and renowned guitarists. Their first release came in 2003, Re-Foc, to be followed by a live album and their self titled Rodrigo y Gabriela in 2006, which reached the top of the charts, displacing bands such as Arctic Monkeys.
They have played everywhere, from the haciendas of Cuba to the Hollywood Bowl, and from the festival fields of Europe to America, where they were invited by President Barack Obama to perform at the White House. New albums live and studio releases like Live In Japan, 11:11 or Area 52 contributed to boost their career. They also have collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the score and soundtrack to 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' in 2011.
Their last release, 9 Dead Alive, will be presented on their next visit to Spain. Rodrigo y Gabriela will bring their unique six string magic to their Spanish audience, and you should not miss it!
