BARCELONA CONCERT MOVED FORWARD
NEW DATE: 10 February 2011 - RAZZMATAZZ - BARCELONA

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Skunk Anansie have had to move forward their Barcelona concert. The new date is February the 10th at Razzmatazz, Barcelona. Madrid concert will stay as planned, on February 9th at La Riviera..

Tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.es, by calling 902 15 00 25 and via the usual sales outlets of the Ticketmaster network. Ticket prices are 27 Euros (booking fees not included). Tickets already bought for Barcelona show will be valid for the new date.

Skunk Anansie got back together in 2009, 10 years after their split, to release a new disc, “Smashes and Trashes”, a compilation album that featured the best of their career which the band took live out on the road. These Brit Rockers of the 90’s, the latest cult band to re-form, completely sold out the last show they did here in November 2009. Now two new shows have been confirmed, good news for those who’d like to again have the experience of seeing this great band live and also for those who missed out last time around.

Skunk Anansie are Skin (vocals), Cass (bass), Ace (guitar) and Mark Richardson (drums). The British clit-rock quartet (as defined by vocalist, Skin), adopted their name from the mammal of the same name and added Anansie, a name from a Jamaican legend. The band first appeared live at the Splash Club in London in March 1994 (currently Monto Water Rats Theatre) and rose to fame in 1995 following the release of their controversial single “Little Baby Swastikkka”, from their first album, “Paranoid and Sunburnt”. Next came “Stoosh”, which spent 55 weeks in the British charts, and contained unarguable greats such as “Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)”. These discs were released in 1995 and 1996 respectively on the One Little Indian Records label. Their third album, “Post Orgasmic Chill”, was released in 1999 by Virgin.

During the course of the 90’s Skunk Anansie went on the road with the likes of U2, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Muse and Killing Joke. The band broke up in 2001 to pursue their own solo careers.

At the end of last year, Kerrang! magazine revealed that the band was preparing new material to release a Greatest Hits to coincide with the tour and adding new tracks. A few fortunate souls were lucky enough to catch a small taster of the album and tour at “Water Rats” in London, the very same venue that saw them emerge from the London music scene to begin with.

Don’t miss out on the chance to see the best of Skunk Anansie live.
