Some months ago we heard about Stu Larsen for the first time, a new folk gem on the Australian scene who, three years ago, made a decision to leave behind normality, security and comfort, choosing to live as simply as possible to follow the opportunities that would lay down in front of him. Some lucky ones discovered him supporting Passenger on his concert on November 21st, but for those who have not had that opportunity or the ones left wanting more, nothing better than a gig as a headliner, with limited capacity for a very special night. The shows will be held on April 22nd at Moby Dick in Madrid and on the 23rd at BeCool in Barcelona.
Tickets are already available through www.doctormusic.com and www.ticketmaster.es, also at Fnac, Carrefour, by phone at 902 15 00 25 and through the usual sale outlets from Ticketmaster network. Ticket price is 14 Euros (booking fees not included).
Stu Larsen presented in 2009 his first songs on EP, titled “The Black Tree”. Two years later he recorded again; “Ryeford” was the result of many live experiences of these years and brought us great songs such as “Paper Sails”. For the last 7 years, Stu Larsen has been wandering around the world with his guitar with no place to call home. Along the way he met good friend Mike Rosenberg (Passenger) and they have travelled together for a fairly solid 3 years. In the breaks between Passenger tours, Larsen somehow finds time to tour with another good friend, Natsuki Kurai. The pair have just released an acoustic, five-track EP, “Stu Larsen & Natsuki Kurai”, and drove together with a successful tour of 16 shows.
Now, looking to 2014, Stu Larsen announces the release of his first full lenght album, which will be accompanied by a tour that will arrive in Spain on April. If you have not done yet, take some minutes to discover Stu Larsen, because the folk scene would not be the same without him.
