Rodrigo y Gabriela grew up on an eclectic mix of genres, ranging from classic rock and heavy metal to flamenco, a rare alchemy of influences that still informs the work of this Mexican duo.

In 2002, they debuted with their full-length album re-Foc, developing their distinct breed of guitar music and gaining recognition for their extraordinary live show. They also have 8 additional acclaimed albums, including Area 52, 9 Dead Alive, and the 2020 Grammy-winning Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Mettavolution.

Last April 21 they released their most ambitious project yet, the Advaita Vedanta inspired ‘In Between Thoughts...A New World’, which features their signature dual guitar attack, augmented by a full orchestra, and a corresponding world tour

Self-produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela at their studio in Ixtapa, Mexico, the album – which sees the guitar duo expanding their traditional approach to include inventive electronic and orchestral elements – is heralded by the single ‘Descending To Nowhere’, which comes with an official music video, directed by acclaimed Mexican filmmaker/broadcaster Olalla Rubio.

Among their many successes: performing at The White House for the President and First Lady of Mexico at a 2010 event hosted by Barack Obama; headlining the Jazz World stage at Glastonbury; selling out major venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall or the Sydney Opera House; and performing to massive crowds in far-flung cities such as Tokyo and Paris.
