Los Planetas are set to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of their first album, Super 8, with a very special live performance on Saturday, September 28, at the Plaza de Toros in their hometown, Granada.

Tickets are already on sale via doctormusic.com (*) and entradas.com. The price of GA tickets is 45 Euros and reserved seating tickets cost between 48 and 53 Euros (VAT included, booking fees not included).

The essence of Super 8, the first LP by Los Planetas, really stands the test of time. With every listen It feels more current, repelling nostalgia and reaffirming the enduring brilliance of its music, ideology, and graphics. It’s without a doubt a landmark album in the history of Spanish popular music.

Since May 3, Los Planetas have been on tour to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Super 8, performing the entire album live exactly as it was conceived. This includes the setlist, instrumentation and original arrangements, all enriched by the inspired visual identity created for the album by the Donostia-born graphic artist Javier Aramburu, which continues to be expanded conceptually and symbolically.

After selling out their concerts in Barcelona (Razzmatazz, October 9 and 10) and Madrid (La Riviera and Ochoymedio, November 13 and 14 respectively), Los Planetas announce the return of Super 8 to Granada. The concert will take place on September 28 at the Plaza de Toros de Granada, a large capacity venue that reflects the magnitude of this tour. The anniversary celebration redefines the significance of Super 8 and reaffirms the prestige and influence of Los Planetas. After more than thirty years of journeying towards the sun, from torment to ecstasy through infinite galaxies, their legacy remains unscathed.

Completing the line-up are Depresión Sonora and Alcalá Norte, two bands conceptually akin to Los Planetas. These two bands find themselves in a similar position to where the Granada band was when their first LP was released: influenced by post-punk, diverging from the mainstream, critical of the principles, values and norms of their environment, and with a radical determination to extend the scope of their music without making crucial concessions. The perfect synergy.

Freedom and future.
